Colds and Flu are caused by viruses and can not be cured. There are a number of proactive ways that can be taken by an individual to help prevent the spread of colds and Flu.

Statistical studies show the following:
About 50 million individuals get colds each year and the same numbers of people get the flu. Every year in the United States there are about 200,000 hospitalization and 36,000 deaths due to the flu or its complications. Currently the flu vaccine has a 90% success rate in preventing the flu.

General Tips
  •  Wash your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds with warm water and soap and wash them often. Most cold and flu viruses are spread by direct contact
