Statistical studies

infertile, male infertility is the exclusive
cause of non-conception 40% of the time. The
other 40% is exclusively caused by the
female, 10% is the combination of both
partners, and there is 10% of cases that
have unknown causes. One half of the
infertile men has irreversible infertility
and can never father children.
Symptoms
There are a number of reasons why a male can
not impregnate a female; some of the causes
are as follows:
No sperm production can be
due to hormonal or genetic disorders
Low sperm count; can be
caused by increased temperature of the
testicles where sperm are produced. In
addition infections such as mumps or certain
STDs may be a cause.
Malformed sperm
Sperm may be blocked from
traveling from the testicles to the penis
via the vas deference due to a vasectomy,
injury or physical anomaly.
Poor Sperm motility which may
be genetically caused
Different diseases such as
high blood pressure and diabetes can affect
sperm production
Varicocele a varicose vein
in the testes disrupts normal blood flow
needed for sperm production.
Certain lifestyles contribute
to male infertility including smoking,
chronic alcohol abuse, anabolic steroid use,
malnutrition, and excessive stress among
others.
