PILATES
Description
Pilates is a series of non-impact exercises developed by Joseph Pilates that focuses on the mind controlling key muscles in order to develop strength, flexibility, balance and alignment of the spine. The most important factor in Pilates is the attentiveness and concentrated focus on the body’s movement. There are a number of classical exercises, designed by Joseph Pilates, but many practitioners have expanded on them. These exercises involve a number of principles namely concentration, muscle control, breathing and precise movement.
