Dermatology is a medical specialty involved with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders and of the skin, mucous membranes, nails, hair and a number of sexually transmitted diseases. Some dermatology specialists expand their practice to include cosmetic care of the skin.

  •  Write down the symptoms that you have and bring it with you to the dermatologist this may help start a discussion about a treatment option that's right for you.
  •  Talk to your dermatologist and inquire about the different treatment options you have before you opt for the best one for you
  •  Inform you dermatologist if you are taking any nutritional supplements, herbs,as some may cause allergic skin changes.
