ACUPUNCTURE
Description
Acupuncture is a technique based on traditional and classical Chinese Medicine. Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners believe that the body's vital energy, or qi, flows between the skin surface and the internal organs along invisible channels called meridians; blockages cause pain and disease.
Practitioners use the method of stimulating trigger points on the surface of the body in an attempt to balance chi (energy flow) and restore the body’s equilibrium.. While acupressure involves placing gentle pressure by hand, fingers, elbows or an assortment of devices, acupuncture utilizes extremely thin needles at various depths to stimulate these points
